A photo and video duo for your wedding: why it makes life easier for you

Two vendors who don't know each other means two schedules, two visions and often moments where they get in each other's way. Working as a duo changes a lot.

In short
  • One point of contact for photo and video, one timeline, one shared vision.
  • The short film is offered as an add-on, alongside the photography, which stays at the heart of it all.
  • Fewer people around you: a more intimate atmosphere.

At some weddings, I work as a duo with Thomas. He films, I photograph, and I'm the one who edits the film. Photography remains at the heart of my work; video comes as a complement, to keep what a still image can't show: voices, laughter, movement.

Why a duo rather than two separate vendors

  • One point of contact: one questionnaire, one timeline, one person to ask all your questions.
  • One shared vision: the photos and the film feel alike, in their colors as much as their mood.
  • No getting in each other's way: we know where each of us stands, and we never end up in each other's frame during the ring exchange.
  • More intimacy: we coordinate, we stay discreet, and you don't feel surrounded by a film crew.

What the film looks like

We offer short films that sum up your day in a few minutes. They're films you'll watch and share easily: with family who couldn't make it, with friends, with your children one day. For those who want to relive the day at greater length, a long film can be added, and many couples decide on it even after the wedding.

The problem

You weren't sure you wanted a video, and you're worried about having a camera in your face all day.

The solution

The way we film is discreet, in the same spirit as my photos: we observe more than we direct. And the couples who hesitated are often the ones who tell us afterward that hearing their father's speech or their grandmother's laugh again is what moved them the most.

A real-life example

Picture the best man's speech. In photos, we keep his emotional face, the couple's reaction, the guests laughing. On video, we keep the exact sentence that made the whole room cry, his trembling voice, the silence just before the applause. The two complement each other perfectly.

My tip

If you're on the fence, ask yourself one simple question: what would you love to hear again in twenty years? If the answer is “someone's voice,” video makes sense for you.
